Cecilia A. Conrad, Ph.D. is a managing director at the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation and founder and CEO of its nonprofit affiliate Lever for Change. Lever for Change helps donors equitably find and fund solutions to the world’s biggest problems. An expert on the effects of race and gender on economic status, Conrad is professor emeritus at Pomona College (Claremont, CA) where she served as Vice President for Academic Affairs. She received her B.A. degree from Wellesley College and her Ph.D. in economics from Stanford University.
