Economic Opportunity Director, Robert R. McCormick Foundation
Molly Baltman Leonard is Economic Opportunity Director at the Robert R. McCormick Foundation, advancing racial and economic equity by partnering with communities that have historically suffered disinvestment. Under her leadership, the foundation launched a new area of investments supporting entrepreneurs of color and is creating ways to bridge workforce development, small business, and capital investments within a neighborhood-based framework. In 2020, Molly was selected for the Center for Community Investment’s Fulcrum Fellowship where she is applying the Capital Absorption Framework within grantmaking. She is co-chair of the Chicagoland Workforce Funder Alliance and a Fund for Equitable Business Growth committee member. Prior to joining McCormick in 2007, Molly served as Executive Director of Archeworks Design Lab. She holds an M.A. from University of Chicago.
