Ms. Gonzalez joined The NHP Foundation in 2020 with 20 years of experience managing complex multifamily, mixed finance redevelopments for public housing authorities, municipalities, and private affordable housing developers. Her diverse set of real estate skills developed from working in all aspects of development enables her to collaborate on project strategy, vet acquisitions, drive recapitalizations and direct community development investments. Ms. Gonzalez’s primary focus is on Chicago and Midwest opportunities. Her responsibilities include project conceptualization, predevelopment, deal execution and project closeout.

She has also led master planning and strategic planning services for community developments, housing authority asset repositioning initiatives, downtowns, and University Master planning initiatives. Her experience working with PHAs and municipal governments provides a unique opportunity to understand both the developer’s perspective as well as government process/approvals for entitlements, economic incentives and garnering community support.

Ultimately, Veronica promotes and maintains strong working relationships within the development community and with partner community service providers.
